VDOT reports wrecks in Botetourt, Franklin, Pulaski counties

 In Franklin County, one lane of Virginia 40 in the vicinity of Ferrum Mountain Road is closed. -- In Pulaski County, the north left lane of Interstate 81 is closed because of a tractor trailer accident.

Appalachian Power reports 3800 customers without electricity in Roanoke area

VDOT is reporting an accident on US 220 in Botetourt County. One northbound lane is closed in the vicinity of Brughs Mill Road. Also, a tractor-trailer accident on Interstate 81 in Montgomery County has closed the south left lane at mile marker 114.
