A Fincastle man is dead after his pickup truck ran off the side of Virginia 24 in Bedford County and caught fire Wednesday afternoon.

A Fincastle man was killed Wednesday in a single-vehicle crash in Bedford County, Virginia State Police said. According to a police dispatcher, the wreck occurred about 12:30 p.m. on Virginia 24, about three-tenths of a mile east of Virginia 608.
