Lady Cavs and Knights just can't get together because of weather


James River and Lord Botetourt could have played each other twice in softball last week, but instead they didn't play at all. However, both had some success when they were battling something other than the weather.

It will be a good Friday for Botetourt County baseball fans this week. Both teams will throw their aces when the two county schools meet Friday afternoon in Daleville.

River girls soccer team still looking for first win; Salem slips past Botetourt boys in Monday game


Matt Cox had a three-goal hat trick and Blaine Manuel scored twice as Lord Botetourt took an 8-0 win over James River in soccer last week.

LB girls shuttle team first at Roanoke River Relays


The LBHS track team competed in the Roanoke River Relays this last Saturday at William Byrd High School's Robert A. Patterson Stadium. The girls team finished seventh overall and the boys finished 17th among 18 schools sending representatives.
