Cavaliers, Knights will finish the Salem Invite on Thursday


James River and Lord Botetourt could meet again this Thursday in softball, as the final rounds of the Salem Invitational Tournament will be held at the James I. Moyer Complex in Salem.

Duke earns shutout in PD opener with Bath


Aaron Humphries had a two-run double in the fifth inning to break up a scoreless tie and lead James River to a 4-0 win over Bath County last Friday. The game was played at Lord Botetourt High School.

JR, LB track teams are at home today


The James River track team competed on a cold day in Bridgewater last Saturday at the Turner Ashby Invitational. Over 20 teams competed in the meet.

County teaming up with outfitter to offer kayak and canoe trips on the James River


As part of the Jamestown 2007, “America's 400th Anniversary Celebration,” Botetourt County's Office of Tourism is teaming up with the Botetourt County Recreation Department and Twin River Outfitters to offer a series of canoe trips down the scenic James River.
