Botetourt's Rasnick to tee it up for Lancers

Lord Botetourt senior Jed Rasnick made noise on the golf course last summer and fall. It paid off this spring.

Rasnick signed a partial golf scholarship Friday with Longwood, a Division I school in Farmville.

Rasnick won the Roanoke Valley Golf Association Hall of Fame junior title last summer and finished fourth in the VSGA Junior Amateur. During the high school season, the Botetourt golfer was the runner-up in the Metro Invitational before winning the Region III championship and tying for fourth place in the Group AA tournament.

Rasnick will join former Magna Vista golfer Adam Webb on the Longwood roster. Webb, a freshman, has the lowest stroke average for the Lancers this season.
