River, Botetourt meet twice in a week beginning Thursday


Lord Botetourt and James River will go head-to-head in baseball twice in the span of eight days, beginning tomorrow. With the James River field still not completed, both games will be played in Daleville.

JR, LB girls meet Thursday then both head to Salem


James River will meet Lord Botetourt in softball at least once this week, and possibly twice. The two county schools play each other at Buchanan Elementary School on Thursday, and they're both in the Salem Invitational Tournament this weekend.

Finger, Cornett lead Lady Cavs past JR girls; Botetourt boys edge River by point in first meet


The high school track season opened when Lord Botetourt played host to James River last week. The Cavs won the girls meet easily but had to scrap to hold off the River boys.

JR/LB soccer teams meet again Thursday
The Lord Botetourt and James River soccer teams will go head-to-head for the second time this Thursday. LB swept the first meetings and this time the boys will play at Lord Botetourt while the girls go to James River.
